星空体育 has successfully achieved accreditation against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) assessors visited the health service in September and December 2024 as part of Short Notice Assessment against the Standards, and in late January, ACHS advised 星空体育 of its successful continuing accreditation until 2028.
星空体育 Chief Executive, Ron Calvert, welcomed the continuing accreditation.
“The positive outcome demonstrates that we deliver safe, high-quality care every day, not just for an assessment but as part of our ongoing commitment to Always Care,” Mr Calvert said.
“The assessors’ feedback is a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and professionalism that define 星空体育. While we celebrate this success, we remain focused on continuous improvement and embedding these high standards across the organisation.”
Assessment was against a range of ‘actions’ aligned to the eight NSQHS standards and standard advisories. Last year was the first time the ACHS ran the new Short Notice Assessment process, which involved only 48 hours’ notice before assessors arrived on site. Short Notice Assessment aims to ensure that health services are meeting the standards all of the time, not just during an assessment visit.
It was also the first time the National Clinical Governance Trials Framework was part of the assessment, with a ‘maturity report’ assessing progress against the new framework. Full assessment against the National Clinical Governance Trials Framework will be part of the next Short Notice Assessment process in three years.
